In a fresh ‘battle of dominance’ between the two extremist groups, Boko Haram terrorists ambushed the Islamic State of West Africa Province, ISWAP, killing dozens of militants.
According to a video obtained by PRNigeria, the Buduma-aligned Boko Haram division paraded and executed hundreds of ISWAP fighters at a makeshift graveyard.
Some ISWAP militants were later burned alive in gun trucks by Boko Haram forces.
Meanwhile, forces from the Multinational Joint Task Force, or MNJTF, killed 33 ISWAP members on Wednesday.
During a military operation in Gamborun Ngala Local Government Area of Borno state, the MNJTF forces reportedly rescued scores of women and children.
Guns, vehicles, motorbikes, and sophisticated weaponry were among the goods confiscated from the terrorists, according to PRNigeria.
