Floyd Mayweather travelled to Nigeria to promote his exhibition battle against Don Moore in Dubai.
The former multi-weight champion addressed at a news conference in Abuja on May 8.
Floyd Mayweatherr also visited Rotimi Amaechi, minister of transportation, at his Abuja villa on May 9.
The 45-year-old boxing promoter had wanted to visit Nigeria for some time, but “things did not go as planned.”
He also stated that he intends to construct a boxing camp in Nigeria to aid in the sport’s growth there.
He stated that he would return to the country in the future “to train and continue building my legacy.”
He stated: “Before travelling to Dubai, I could not be in a better location than Nigeria. I look forward to returning to Nigeria to train and continue establishing my legacy, and we also hope to construct a boxing camp for the youth and children of the future.
