Rev. Fr. Christopher Onotu, the parish priest of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Obangede, Okehi Local Government Area, Kogi State, has been abducted by armed persons.
The shooters stormed the church at approximately 9 p.m. on June 4, entered the priest’s bedroom through a window, and abducted him to an unknown location.
It was determined that church members learned about the incident when they attended for the first Sunday service.
A Church member told Tribune Online that the abductors fled in the priest’s vehicle.
“They lost his two phones but took his SIM cards. In recent weeks, inhabitants of the state’s central senatorial area have been in a state of panic due to the activities of armed individuals “the source reported.
