Three police officers and a commercial motorcyclist have been killed in Suleja, Niger State, by gunmen believed to be kidnappers.
On Thursday, May 12, at 11 p.m., it was learned that the occurrence occurred.
The officers were apparently responding to a distress call when they were ambushed near a location known as Old Barracks, as reported by the Daily Trust.
“The shooters, who appeared to have anticipated their arrival, ambushed them,” a source claimed.
The killed officers are SGG Hosea Saba, CPL Yahaya Yakubu, and PSC Aminu Sani, all of whom are affiliated with B Division Suleja.
Chairman of the Suleja Council, Abdullahi Shuaibu Maje, confirmed the occurrence and stated that around three people, including a vigilante, survived the assault.
They are currently being treated at a local hospital, he added.
