In Ajaokuta, Kogi State, three children of an electrical shop owner have been kidnapped by unknown Gunmen.
The event occurred around 8 p.m. on Wednesday in Kaduna Estate, the Ajaokuta Steel township complex, according to the Daily Trust.
Gunmen stormed a property where the youngsters live and opened fire before snatching them, according to an eyewitness who witnessed the incident.
One of the kidnapped children’s parents has been recognised by a family member as Mr. Kadiri, an electronics salesman from Edo State.
According to the source, the gunmen made contact with the victims’ families on Thursday afternoon and demanded a ransom of N100 million.
Children aged 5, 7, and 10 have been reported missing.

To keep people away, they opened fire frequently. Abducting three of Kadiri’s children was a last resort when they were unable to locate their intended victim.
N100m has been demanded by the kidnappers, who have contacted members of our family.
William Ovye Aya, the Kogi State Police Public Relations Officer, could not be reached for comment. In the aftermath of the incident, he did not return phone calls or respond to texts addressed to him.
Meanwhile, inhabitants of Ajaokuta are complaining that they can no longer close their eyes at night because of the town’s high rate of armed robbery and kidnapping.
In Ajaokuta, police raided the famed FFN Market on Thursday, looking for those who might be involved in illicit activity.
