Sunday, a security guard, was killed at the Titolu Venture Filling Station in Igoba, Akure North Local Government Area, Ondo State.

The tragic tragedy occurred early on Monday morning.

His attackers destroyed the gas station before vanishing. The slain guard was reportedly bound before to being shot.

The station manager, Ajisafe Oluwatobiloba, stated that he learned of the fire at 4:00 a.m.

“Around 4:00 a.m., I received a phone from one of the residents, and when I arrived, the station was on fire; we summoned the fire department, and they came to extinguish the blaze, unaware that the criminals had murdered our security guard.”

“While attempting to determine the cause of the fire, we discovered where the guard had been tied and murdered. We also observed the gasoline-filled keg that the arsonist used to saturate the station before to setting it ablaze.

Detectives from the Ondo police command who visited the crime scene have now deposited the body of the guard in the morgue.

Mrs. Funmi Odunlami, a spokesman for the state Police Command, acknowledged the event and stated that an inquiry is currently underway to determine the facts.
