The Special Adviser to the President on Political Matters, Senator Babafemi Ojudu, has threatened to return to the farm if President Muhammadu Buhari decides to support Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s presidential ambitions.
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo’s right-hand man, Ojudu, made the comment in an interview with Chude Jideonwo on Saturday.
He said that the current vice president was still a better choice than the outgoing governor of Lagos State, who ran for president in 2015.
President Buhari could decide to support Tinubu, but Ojudu claimed he would never fall in line. I’ll be back on the farm soon, so write it down today. We cannot work together if I don’t trust and believe in you.
Let us know if Osinbajo is running for the presidency. We’ll have to wait till he does, but he hasn’t yet, so there’s still time.
He deserves to be supported if I back Osinbajo. I watch how hard he works, day in and day out, and how dedicated he is to the people, Nigeria, and his education.
“He’s able to adapt to any environment, be at ease with both the young and the old, and always come up with a solution to a problem.” There is no cost to me in aligning myself with someone like that.” What do I want to accomplish in this life? I’m searching for a better society, one in which everyone has the opportunity to realise their full potential. For my ideal society, I’d like to find a place where some people aren’t hoarding all of a country’s wealth.
There will be no reason for me to apologise for supporting Osinbajo if he launches his candidacy tomorrow. I would work for him and support him without hesitation.”
