The Mushin neighbourhood of Lagos experienced the collapse of a three-story building on Sonuga Street, Palm Avenue.

Only two weeks ago, six people were killed when a seven-story structure in the Oniru district of the state fell.

Dr. Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, Permanent Secretary of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, verified the latest event, saying it took place at midday on Monday.

A structure has been destroyed on Sonuga Street near Palm Avenue in Mushin. An ongoing rescue operation. I’ll keep you updated,” he promised.

Mr Ibrahim Farinloye, territorial head of the National Emergency Management Agency in Lagos, has reported that two people had been rescued from the wreckage of the building.

Both an adult and a youngster have been saved from certain death. We’re still looking for them and trying to rescue them,” he said.
