Bandits have released 75 individuals kidnapped from Yar Katsina community in Kekun Waje district of Bungudu Local Government Area in Zamfara State.

In the last two months, two significant raids on the village have resulted in the abduction of the liberated people.

Armed thieves had previously kidnapped 61 individuals, then invaded the neighborhood 36 days later and abducted 15 more.

“The armed men, on the other hand, took Ummi, a six-year-old girl, and told her parents that they had adopted her because they liked her.

“Neither the parents nor the children were abducted.

“One of them stated that he had never given birth to a kid before and that he would adopt the daughter.

“He promised to take good care of her, so she has become his daughter.” They still have the girl with them.

“Before the victims could be released, the residents had to pay N4 million.”

“The victims that were released have already been reunited with their relatives.” “One of the conditions the criminals imposed was that the vigilantes disarm,” said Sadiq, a local citizen.

At the time of reporting this story, the state police command’s spokesman, SP Muhammad Shehu, could not be reached for comment.
