On Wednesday, supporters of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar descended on the International Conference Centre (ICC) Abuja for his official announcement that he will run for President in 2023.
Former Vice President Muhammad Namadi Sambo, Adamawa State Governor Umaru Fintiri, and former Niger State Governor Babangida Aliyu’ Chief Tom Ikimi were among the dignitaries present for the proclamation.
Senator Dino Melaye, Ambassador Roland Omowa, and Josephine Anenih are among the other guests at the ceremony, which is still going on.
Governor Fintiri informed the gathering that Atiku Abubakar is a great value to Nigeria, and that “he is arguably the most experienced person in the presidential campaign at the time, not only in our party, the PDP, but in the country,” in his speech.
“Like 2023 when Nigeria will be led by a person of his capacity, acumen, and pedigree to lead the country after colossal damage meted out on it by the fallen APC,” he said, “when Nigeria will be led by a person of his capacity, acumen, and pedigree to lead the country after colossal damage meted out on it by the fallen APC.”
“Atiku Abubakar is well suited to lead Nigeria at his most challenging moment,” Fintiri remarked. In the heart of Nigeria’s most educationally impoverished region, he constructed a world-class institution. As a politician, he has created wealth and jobs. He has unrivaled democratic credentials. He is the President who will bring the country together and secure it, as well as revive the economy and provide jobs for our countrymen.”
