At least seven persons were killed in an explosion at Iware town in Taraba State’s Ardo Kola Local Government Area.

Bulus James, an eyewitness, claims that a device exploded as a large crowd gathered at a nearby beer parlour.

A fuel-laden truck collided and detonated at the Polo roundabout in Jos North LGA, Plateau State

Someone, according to James, tossed an object into the bar and then departed the scene.

Iware, a village 23 kilometres from Jalingo, the state capital, hosts a large cattle market every Tuesday.

As a result of the event, merchants ran in all directions, causing chaos at the market.

When reached, DSP Usman Abdullahi, the Police Public Relations officer for Taraba Command, verified the event, stating the command got a complaint from the Divisional Police officer in Sunkani, a neighbouring town.

According to Abdullahi, three people were confirmed killed and nineteen others were seriously injured in the event.

He stated that the injured were transferred to the Federal Medical Center in Jalingo for treatment.
