Terrorist bandits are claimed to have killed four people in a new raid on the Zamfara community.
They were slain on Saturday when gunmen stormed Masamar Mudi town in Bukkuyum local government district.
According to Shauntv news, the gunmen attacked the town Saturday afternoon and began firing at the residents.
Many of the villagers were shot while attempting to flee and are currently receiving medical treatment at a secret health facility.
When contacted, Zamfara State Police Command spokesperson Supritendant Mohammed Shehu verified the occurrence.
He claims that according to the police report, just one person died in the incident, not four as other quarters have stated.
According to Surpritendant Mohammed Shehu, soldiers have been dispatched to the area to preserve stability and to prevent additional attacks.
This new incident comes four days after armed bandits kidnapped five female students from the state’s College of Health Sciences and Technology, Tsafe.
After two days in captivity, the students were freed by their abductors.
