Terrorist known as Unknown gunmen have murdered four individuals, including two brothers, in Anambra State’s Nnewi South and Ekwusigo Local Government Areas.
The newest discovery comes only days after gunmen murdered five individuals in an Osumenyi, Nnewi South, beer parlour.
The brothers, known as Godwin Ikechukwu Modobi and Nnajiofor Modobi, were assassinated in Ukpor, Nnewi South’s headquarters, on Monday, May 2.
Two others were assassinated on Monday May 2 near Udorji Road, adjacent to St. Mary’s Church, Ozubulu, in Ekwusigo.
Obere was a previous Youth Chairman in the Ukpor community. Godwin Ikechukwu Modobi, generally known as Obere, was a former Youth Chairman in the Ukpor community.
According to reports, the gunmen first murdered Nnajiofor inside their home after breaking in during the early hours of Monday. They then blindfolded and abducted Godwin, whom they finally killed near Utuh Junction and dumped his body in the middle of the road.
The corpse is seen lying in the centre of the desolate freeway in trending footage from the location of the event.
Bullets were also spotted near the bleeding corpse, which had bullet wounds to his chest and other body parts.
