Terrorist in Jalingo, Taraba State, refused to release a pregnant lady who went into labour while being held captive, instead demanding a ransom.

On Saturday night, gunmen abducted the lady and six other people in Jalingo.

We learned that the abductors invaded the Jalingo Primary Board Area around 3 a.m. on Saturday and kidnapped the victims.

The pregnant woman from Kano was claimed to have gone home to her parents for maternity leave.

According to our correspondent, the gunmen targeted three residences in the vicinity and operated for roughly 40 minutes.

However, the criminals phoned the abducted pregnant woman father and demanded an instant payment, claiming the woman had gone into labour.

DSP Usman Abdullahi, Taraba Command Police Spokesperson, acknowledged the kidnapping of the pregnant woman and six others but did not provide any details.
