At around 3 a.m. today, April 14, men from the Anambra state police command shot and killed an unidentified gunman as he and other members of his gang attempted to attack the Nteje Divisional Headquarters in Oyi LGA, Anambra state.

The agents discovered one type O6 rifle, one magazine, fifty-three live 5.56mm ammunition, and charms, according to DSP Ikenga Tochukwu’s statement. According to him, CP Echeng, the Commissioner of Police, led the crack squad in responding to the distress call when the station was attacked by the lethal gang. The attackers were dealt with decisively by the police officers.

According to Ikenga, one of the shooters was neutralized during the gunfight, and the attackers left the area due to the superior fire of the Police Operatives. The station has been seized, and all police officers and weapons have been recovered.
