Residents of communities sacked by terrorists in Niger State’s Munya Local Government Area have claimed that their assailants are now sleeping in their empty rooms.
Victims who now live in Minna, the state capital, Gunu and Shakwata towns, fewer than 20 kilometres from Minna, told our correspondent that the terrorists had also carried out some of their beddings, on which they slept beneath trees at night.
Kafana and Kurgbako, both in Munya LGA, are among the localities impacted.
According to City & Crime, some of the IDPs who left Minna on Tuesday to cultivate yams were abducted.
Kuchi, Kafana, Chibani, and Wuloto were the settlements invaded on Tuesday, and many individuals, especially males, were taken.
Mohammad Awwal, an IDP, stated, “Our brothers went to cultivate yam but were abducted.” Around 4 p.m., the crooks arrived. We usually depart and then come back. If robbers access our yam barns and grab what they want, they don’t lock the barns, enabling goats to munch our yam seedlings.”
