The source of the attack on members of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders’ Association in Gwagwalada Area Council has been discovered, according to the Federal Capital Territory Police Command.
After four members of the association, including its chairman, were assassinated last week, the police launched an inquiry.
They were purportedly on their way from Niger State’s Izom market when gunmen ambushed them at Daku village in the FCT’s local council, abducting four others and injuring many more with bullet wounds.
The victims will be able to retrieve their money, according to Deputy Commissioner of Police, Operations, Ben Igwe.
“They trailed them and collected the money of the cows they sold from them. We are working on it. We have discovered the source and we would ensure they are apprehended. I don’t want to disclose what we are doing on the matter.”
