Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River Condition has stated that the country’s present state of insecurity may have been worse had Buhari not become President.
On Tuesday, April 26, Ayade claimed this while answering questions from State House media following a closed-door meeting with President Buhari.
“I’ve just concluded a meeting with President Obama. And this meeting ended up being one of the most energetic gatherings I’ve ever attended. To begin, let me recognise the President’s breadth of knowledge and intelligence,” he stated.
“His deft grasp of international and global security concerns and their integration into the Nigerian scenario. And what he has done to halt the bandit and Boko Haram incursions into Nigeria
“This country would have been in a worse situation had it not been for President Muhammadu Buhari, given the fall of Afghanistan and the massive movement of people who believe the West African province is their birthright, and thus Muslims of West African origin and Christians are infidels who must be eradicated.”
“The President received extensive instruction on global security. And I believe it will be child’s play for anyone to misjudge the magnitude of this nation’s security issues,” he continued.
