Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, said Monday that Senator Rochas Okorocha is excavating his own political coffin by appropriating the group’s name for political purposes.
IPOB further said that the former Imo State Governor attempted unsuccessfully on many occasions to become a full member of the pro-Biafra organisation in order to have his way to accomplish selfish goals but was denied by the group’s leadership.
According to a statement issued by IPOB’s Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful, headlined “Rochas Okorocha is excavating his political coffin by utilising IPOB for political purposes,” the former Imo Governor will be on hand to observe IPOB actualize Biafra freedom and independence from Nigeria State.
“We, the worldwide movement and family of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, under the command and direction of our great prophet and tireless leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, wish to warn Rochas Okorocha that his latest outburst against IPOB would lead to his demise,” the IPOB statement said. We in IPOB have never viewed him as a danger to Biafra’s freedom as envisioned by IPOB.
“Rochas Okorocha has attempted several times to become a full member of IPOB in order to choose the movement’s course of action and to accomplish his selfish goals using the movement’s name, but the movement’s leadership has refused to accept him.
“Rochas Okorocha and his ilk would be on hand to witness IPOB materialise Biafra independence and liberation from the tyrannical Nigerian state.
“Rochas Okorocha’s current diatribe demonstrates that he is speaking the minds of his Abuja bosses, who instructed him to loot Imo State cash with his family.
“Nigerians must be vigilant of Rochas Okorocha, his family, and associates, since they are responsible for the multiple attacks, deaths, and kidnappings occurring in Imo State.
“We know how many times they attempted to form these organisations in order to murder innocent residents in Imo state, owing to Imo people’s political actions to guarantee that they reclaim all the assets he corruptly got using his office and public monies.
“If Rochas Okorocha and his co-traitors in Biafra land desire recognition in Biafra, they should inform their Fulani masters to schedule a Biafra referendum and see if they can get one percent (1%) of the South East region’s ‘no vote’ to Biafra liberation vote.
“All Biafrans are united in their desire for independence from Nigeria. No amount of intimidation will be effective in reversing this. The sooner Nigeria and her spies in Biafran comprehend this, the better.
“All of Rochas Okorocha’s acts in Imo State, as well as those of his successor, Hope Uzodinma, have been exposed to the world.
The entire world must pay attention to the two Imo politicians and their travelling companions. They and their gangs are responsible for the insecurity in Imo State, believing they can fool Imo people and Nigerians by constantly referring to IPOB as names.
“Both political warlords have wreaked havoc on Imo State by recruiting hoodlums. Imo’s innocent inhabitants are vulnerable to their atrocities./ Rochas Okorocha must thus abandon the notion that he can utilise IPOB to further his own political ambitions.
“He would be wise to avoid IPOB and remain silent on IPOB-related problems rather than attempting to exploit our name for political benefit. We cannot allow him to throw the spotlight on IPOB. He is creating his own political coffin by attempting to gain political advantage through IPOB. We are uninvolved in Nigerian politics. Our mission is to restore Biafra, and we will not be diverted.”
