After spending 80 days in bandits’ dens, two nurses kidnapped in Kaduna State have regained their freedom.
In April, Afiniki Bako and Grace Nkut were kidnapped while on night duty at Doka General Hospital in Kajuru, Kaduna State.
The National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives ( NANNM), Kaduna State Chapter, Chairman Comrade, Ishaku Yakubu confirmed their release on Saturday, 10th July at approximately 7:00pm.
Apart from the 10 million naira already paid to the kidnappers, he said no additional ransom was paid to them.
Before the bandits were released, two motorcycles were given to them.
In dailytrust report, nurses from the General Hospital Doka were reportedly abducted at gunpoint.
According to reports, the kidnappers collected 10 million naira, 50,000 naira recharge cards, and four Tecno handsets, which were delivered to them.
