Princess Stella Oduah, a senator from Anambra state’s Anambra North senatorial district, stated that “anyone who says President Mohamudu Buhari is not doing well in South East is not fair to himself and the zone.”

When she defected from the PDP to the All Progressive Congress (APC) administration, Oduah said that she did so to help her people reap the benefits of greater dividends of democracy.

Ms. Oduah, represented by Ms. Amaka Ononuju, said she defected to the APC from the PDP in order to be able to do more for her district at the state party headquarters in Awka.

Since she belonged to the opposition, she said she couldn’t do anything for the advancement of her community.

“Anyone who says President Muhammadu Buhari and the APC don’t care about the South East area is being dishonest,” he added.

President Buhari’s degree of “infrastructural development in the South East was lauded by Mrs. Garba Shehu.

She said that the APC federal administration of President Muhammadu Buhari has a record of many infrastructure improvements in the South East that anybody may access.

She said that as a member of the APC, she would now be in a position to make choices about the country’s development, and she promised that this would spur rapid growth in her senatorial district.

The APC and its candidate, Senator Andy Uba, have assured Oduah that they would get a large number of votes in her senatorial district during the next November 6 state gubernatorial election.

In his remarks, Hon. Victor Afam Ogene, a former federal representative for the district of Ogbaru, characterized Senator Oduah’s entrance into the APC as a boost to the party’s prospects of winning the gubernatorial race in the region.

President Muhammadu Buhari had complimented Senator Oduah’s political ability and expressed hope that her joining the APC will give the party an edge in its gubernatorial race.
