Remi Tinubu, wife of APCC leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has denied calling educationist, Arinola Oloko, a thug during a public hearing about constitutional changes on Wednesday.
In her opinion, she asked Oloko if she was a thug, not that she called her a thug.
In an interview with TVC’s breakfast show, “Your View”, Senator Olusegun Obasanjo made this point known on Friday.
Shauntv reported earlier that a video showed Mrs. Tinubu shouting in front of some Nigerians at the event at the Marriott Hotel in Lagos.
Tinubu presided over the South-West Senate Committee on Constitutional Review.
A ruckus broke out when Oloko was denied entry into the venue of the hearing. In response to the protest, Mrs. Tinubu called the woman “rude” for protesting her exclusion from the venue.
Asked about the incident on Friday, the former First Lady of Lagos State said, “It was the noise I heard and as someone concerned, I went there, thinking that maybe when they see that they put my name as chair, they will show a bit of respect.”.
