A former aide to ex-president Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri, claims that more private jets landed in Kano for the wedding of President Muhammadu Buhari’s son than in London when Prince Harry married.
In 2018, Prince Harry of the British royal family married American actress Meghan Markle.
Following some controversies, the couple renounced their title and stepped down from royalty.
On his verified Facebook account, Omokri said Buhari’s son’s wedding showed Nigerians are poor, but the country is not.
According to him, the Nigerian presidential convoy is larger than the convoys of the countries Nigeria borrows from because the country is poorly managed
“Nigeria does not have a national airline. According to reports, 100 private jets landed in Kano for Buhari’s son’s wedding. It is more private jets than landed in London for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding.”
“And then millions of Almajiri watch. In 100 days, they haven’t eaten a decent meal, only to see 100 private jets land in the world’s capital of extreme poverty.”
It is because of this that terror thrives in Nigeria.
Nigerian human rights activist and lawyer Omokri is one of Buhari’s critics.
Omokri cited 100 private jets. However, Daily Trust reported seeing at least 20 jets at Kano’s Aminu Kano International Airport.
