Super TV CEO and Super Network Limited director Michael Usifo Ataga has been found gruesomely murdered, and his alleged sidekick has been arrested in connection with the crime.

During the evening of Sunday, June 13, Ataga’s friends, family, and colleagues reported Ataga missing after he did not appear at the office nor go back to his Banana Island home.

His wife and children, who live in Abuja, were distressed because of the inability to reach Ataga, who would have turned 50 years old on June 18.

The Street Journal reports that his lifeless body was found on Friday morning, June 18, in a flat in Lekki phase 1 with multiple stab wounds.

By that point, several withdrawals had been made from the account.

Attaga, who is married to a manager at Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, is said to have met the sidechic about two weeks ago.

In order to avoid nosy neighbours, Ataga is reported to have rented an Airbnb in Lekki, Lagos, where they both checked in before the unfortunate incident.

Following Ataga’s disappearance, concerned friends, family members, the police, and DSS operatives all the way from Abuja, tracked down the Airbnb owner, who had received payment from the sidechic into whose bank account Ataga had previously transferred money.

Ataga was found dead in his apartment with multiple stab wounds in his neck, chest, and thigh following a break-in.

Before he was killed, five million Naira had been withdrawn from his account.

In addition to the owner of the Airbnb, the side chic who was last seen on June 15, when the murder occurred, was also tracked down and arrested.

Ataga was an amateur boxer and was said to be very strong, so his death came as a shock to friends.

Additionally, after the sidechic left Ataga’s apartment following his gruesome death, money began to disappear from Ataga’s GTB account. When an email asked for a change in his account details, the withdrawals ceased.

GTBank then put an embargo on the account to prevent any further withdrawals.

As security guards at the rentals confirmed, the mistress is a prime suspect in Ataga’s murder as no third party visited the lovers besides a dispatch rider who made a delivery.

The investigation is still ongoing and the case is still unfolding.
