On Thursday night, the Department of State Services confirmed that two allied members of self-acclaimed activist Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, were killed by joint security operatives.
During the joint operation, the secret police also paraded no fewer than 12 suspects.
The spokesperson of the service, Peter Afunanya, said Sunday Igboho is currently on the run at a briefing in Abuja.
The government will definitely track him, he said.
Shauntv reported earlier Gunmen attack Igboho’s residence, killing two, In the early hours of Thursday, yet-to-be-identified gunmen raided the Soka Ibadan residence of Yoruba Nation Agitator, Chief Sunday Adeyemo aka Sunday Igboho.
According to reports, the incident occurred around 1:00am.
Shauntv monitored the live feed of Igboho’s spokesperson, Mr Olayomi Koiki, who claimed some men in military uniforms carried out the attack.
Igboho’s vehicles, including his G-wagon, Prado Jeep, and some valuables such as furniture, were all destroyed.
Bullet holes were found in cars parked on the premises, as well as blood stains.
It was also alleged that some persons in the house, including an ally of Igboho known as ‘Lady K’, were taken away.
According to reports, Igboho was not at home during the attack, while some claim he mysteriously disappeared.
