Four suspects were arrested by the Kano State Police Command for allegedly stealing goats in the quarters of Sani Mainagge.

DSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, who revealed this in a statement on Tuesday, May 25, said the teenage suspects specialize in livestock theft.

On April 8th, 2021 at about 1600 hours, Operation Puff Adder was alerted by a good Samaritan that some young men were seen riding a tricycle with some goats that were believed to be stolen. When the Police arrived, the suspects fled.

“Four (4) suspects have been arrested, Aminu Musa, 18, Sani Abdullahi, 18, Huzaifa Jafar, 18, and Rabiu Lukman, 17, all of them from Sani Mainagge quarters, Kano State.

The police have recovered a tricycle and two (2) goats; one (1) of the goats had already been slaughtered by the suspects. Efforts are ongoing to arrest other fleeing suspects. They will be prosecuted upon completion of the investigation.”
