Ambassador Nuhu Ahmad Bamalli, the Emir of Zazzau, has decried the rise of banditry in the region, warning that the murder of a pregnant woman in Zaria is worrisome.
He said that Nigeria is going through uncharted waters, noting that its problems are not specific to the country.
According to him, the problem is global, and all stakeholders must work together to solve it.
The emir expressed the need for synergy and collaboration among security agencies as well as a warning against rivalry. He made the remarks when receiving the State Commandant of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), Godwin Miebi, on Thursday.
In spite of inadequate manpower and equipment, the emir commended the corps for its performance in his domain.
Miebi said security agencies cannot succeed without the support of traditional institutions.
He visited the palace to seek your support and the members of your council in recognition of this fact.
The government is contributing to reducing insecurity in the state by working in synergy with the other sister departments, he told the emir.
