Gunmen believed to be members of IPOB have set fire to the palace of the Etekwuru community’s traditional ruler in Imo State’s Ohaji/Egbema Local Government Area.

Additionally, during the assault, his own vehicle, a highlander jeep, and other items were destroyed.

According to sources, the event occurred on Thursday night.

Following the arrest of IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu on Thursday, members of the banned organization staged a ramapage.

Suspected IPOB terrorists were shot and killed in Abia after a firefight with soldiers.

In a separate event in Imo, a soldier was assassinated.

Thursday night, the assailants attacked the traditional ruler’s castle.

They searched desperately for him, but when they were unable to locate him or any member of his family, they set fire to the palace.

According to our source, the traditional ruler has sought shelter in the Mmahu Divisional Police Headquarters.
