An attack on Hukke village of Miango District in Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau on Sunday claimed the lives of three members of Irigwe ethnicity and injured three others.
The incident was confirmed by Malison Davidson, the spokesperson for the Irigwe ethnic group in the state.
Gunmen invaded the village and began shooting sporadically.
ASP Ubah Gabriel, a spokesman for the State Police Command, said policemen had been deployed in the area.
The command is attempting to arrest those responsible for the attack, he said.
Davison gave the names of the deceased as Barry I’ve, Isaiah Gado, and Weyi Chohu.
