Auga Community Grammar School Principal Joshua Adeyemi, Vice Principal Lfedayo Yesufu and three other teachers were kidnapped by suspected gunmen on Thursday afternoon in Akoko North-East council area of Ondo state.

Among the three kidnapped teachers are Adagunodo Funmilayo, Oloyede Bukola, and Blessing Okeke.

Ambushed and kidnapped by kidnappers, the victims were found in a Blue Toyota Corolla belonging to a school principal along the Auga-Ise route in Akoko North East council area of Nigeria.

Blessing Okeke, one of the victims, was freed by the kidnappers once they found she was pregnant. While driving from the school back to Blessing’s house, they became lost, according to Blessing’s account of the incident. When her kidnappers found she was pregnant, they forced her to journey through a dense jungle for hours before releasing her.

Ikare Divisional Police Officer Oladutoye Akinwan confirmed the event and said investigators have been assigned to search the forest for the victims’ release. The kidnappers had left the victims’ vehicle in the area where it was found, and it had been retrieved, he said.
