One of the passengers aboard the train going for Kaduna that was ambushed by terrorists in March has been executed while in captivity.

According to Tukur Mamu, the publisher who has been negotiating with the terrorists, the victim named as Mohammed Al’amin is in severe condition.

The development was confirmed to Daily Trust by Mamu, who enabled the release of eleven of the passengers.

“I can affirm that the aforementioned passenger was shot, and the information is credible. It could also be deliberate on their part with the goal of delivering a message. We are aware of their capacity to murder their victims. They have made similar threats in the past, he noted.

He stated that the government must be willing to assume full responsibility if they fail to act in a timely manner.

Mamu stated that there has been consistent communication, but the government has not yet taken action.

“I am aware of the nature of this crisis, which is why I continue to stress that President Buhari must be willing to make difficult concessions if he is truly committed to saving the lives of these innocent victims,” he stated.

“The administration has the ability to terminate this situation within three to four days, based on what we’ve accomplished and the windows and opportunities we’ve created that did not exist previously.

“I guarantee them that we can accomplish it with their help and collaboration, and if it doesn’t happen as long as the government does its part, I will agree and accept full responsibility. This type of emergency does not necessitate bureaucratic red tape.”

Buhari has repeatedly ordered the release of the victims by security agencies.
