Boko Haram Terrorist militants have devastated Geidam, a Yobe town that was invaded in 2021.
According to locals, the Terrorist members entered the town without firing a single shot on Wednesday night.
They were claimed to have parked their motorcycles in a nearby neighbourhood.
We, the insurgents, approached the town from the east and set fire to the Government Science and Technical School Geidam, killing one person in the school quarters.
According to an unnamed source, the gunmen also targeted ‘Kwari,’ a prominent brothel in Geidam, where they killed 10 people, including men and women.
“They caught us off guard this time; they came in silently, without firing guns or using vehicles.”
“Upon their arrival, they asked some of the people to recite Qur’anic passages before allowing them to leave or killing them.”
Meanwhile, some locals are abandoning the town to avoid being trapped, as was the case last year when the militants stayed for days.
Ali Kolo, the Executive Chairman of Geidam Local Government, could not be reached for comment at the time of publication, but his deputy, Musa Muhammed, verified the attack.
