Agwa Divisional Police Headquarters in Oguta Local Government Area in Imo State was attacked by rampaging gunmen, leading to the deaths of four police officers.
Part of the division’s property, including vehicles, was destroyed by the gunmen who assaulted the police station on Friday night.
Two police officers, one male and one female, were killed in the attack.

The Divisional Police Officer’s car was one of the vehicles destroyed in the fire.
After killing Ejike and his wife, the gunmen stormed the home of a second occupant, who has not been recognised. Ejike was pronounced dead at the scene.
A tipper and two sienna cars were used in the attack, according to our source.
Residents reported hearing gunshots but being afraid to venture outside after that.
According to a police source, officers from outside the division were called in to take control of the area while the state’s top cop, Muhammed Berde, was in route.
CSP Mike Abattam, the state’s Police Public Relations Officer, has failed to respond to calls regarding the event.
