Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), declared on Saturday that if elected President, he will provide a bandit-free and affluent Nigeria.
He made the commitment while addressing to a throng of party youngsters at Onikan’s Mobalaji Johnson Arena.
“Our dream is an unified Nigeria,” Mr Tinubu stated. “Our commitment is to a free Nigeria.” A Nigeria devoid of violence and banditry. Nigeria is an extremely successful country. We guarantee that we will give it to you. “You are our future.”
He stated that he was running to represent the young and that only through unity could Nigeria realise its full potential.
“I’d want to be President for you,” he declared. “Take me there.” Make a commitment. Enough with the excuses, the anger, and the division. All we need to do is become a United Nigeria of Africa.”
Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who stood with Tinubu at Saturday’s gathering, said the South-West region’s youngsters had demonstrated resolve in campaigning for Tinubu’s presidency.
He made the comment in a series of tweets sent out following the occurrence.
“I joined young people from the SW States at Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan in their support for Asiwaju Bola Tinubu’s presidential aspiration,” Governor Sanwo-Olu remarked.
“We saw the determination and energy of our young people to work for the success of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu’s aspiration that is only motivated by a higher purpose of service to the people of this great country in the company of Deputy Governor, Obafemi Hamzat, and other leaders of our great party in Lagos and other SW states.”
“Our Leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, is encouraged by the youths’ support, and he is resolved to assume the mantle of leadership of Nigeria by the grace of God and the desire of the people for a better, prosperous, and unified Nigeria.”
