Friday, commission spokesperson Azuka Ogugua shared this information in a statement.

Ogugua stated that based on intelligence, the commission conducted a raid in Wuse 2, Abuja, where the pricey items were discovered.

“The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has been made aware of erroneous and fabricated media stories regarding the seizure of multibillion-naira cash, dollars, and Rolex watches from an Abuja home.”

“The Commission desires to report that ICPC agents executed a search warrant in Wuse 2 of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, between 9:00 p.m. and midnight on Thursday, June 16, 2022. Currently available evidence shows that the land is owned by the military contractor K Salam Construction Company.

“The Commission collected money and other things from the premises, including N175,706,500; $220,965; a G-Wagon; 2022 editions of BMW and Mercedes Benz automobiles; customised mobile phones; multiple expensive wrist watches, including three Rolexes; and property documents.”
