Alwan Ali-Hassan, the Managing Director of the Bank of Agriculture (BoA), has been released nine days after being kidnapped off a Kaduna-bound train that was assaulted by militants.
He was rescued on Wednesday, according to TVC news, although it is unknown where he was located or whether the terrorists were paid a ransom.
The CEO of BOA was one among 362 passengers on board the train that was attacked by terrorists, who also opened fire on some of the passengers.
9 individuals were murdered, 26 others were injured, and an indeterminate number of people were kidnapped, according to Kaduna government authorities.
Over a hundred others who also boarded the train have still to be discovered nine days later.
