President Muhammadu Buhari has stated that the perpetrators of the savage terrorist assaults in Plateau State’s Kanam and Wase towns should not be spared and should not be allowed to flee the country.
The deaths were termed as atrocious by the President in a statement released Tuesday by his media adviser, Garba Shehu.
“They should not be spared or pardoned,” Buhari said, adding that law enforcement authorities should work closely with the state administration to get the situation under control and bring the perpetrators to trial as soon as possible.
The President offered his sympathies following the terrorist attack, adding that peace must be restored to the state and the country at all costs.
“I want all of our citizens, particularly the people of Plateau State, to expose the perpetrators of such occurrences, as well as their sponsors and those who enable such criminals who commit these heinous murders, so that the law can take its course.” “They cannot be forgiven,” stated the President.
