One of the former allies of President Muhammadu Buhari, Buba Galadima, has claimed that if the country’s top citizen is kidnapped, it won’t be a surprise.
In an interview with the BBC Hausa service, Galadima commented on the general sense of unease in the country.
“These bandits show contempt for the Buhari administration,” he declared. Nobody expected him to be brave when he first took office, but now he has been revealed as toothless.
When it comes to the Nigerian government, “Buhari knows nothing, he can’t do anything, and that is why you see government officials syphoning billions from public property and nobody can stop them.”
Galadima said that if terrorists can break out of Kuje jail, Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari is in danger.
“If security issues are overlooked, sooner or later Buhari, too, can be abducted,” he remarked.
“The only options we have now are to continue praying or to equip ourselves for safety, but if we rely on this administration, we are certain to be killed,” he said.
