Today, May 30, terrorists known as Unknown gunmen assaulted the Anambra Broadcasting Service (ABS) station in Awada, Onitsha.

The attackers attacked the premises at approximately 4:40 a.m. and torched two of the station’s working vehicles.

DSP Ikenga Tochukwu, the state police command’s spokesperson, confirmed to reporters that no lives were lost in the attack.

“After receiving a distress call at 4:30 a.m. on 30/5/2022 regarding a case of arson at the Anambra State Broadcasting Station in Idemili North, the Police Operatives responded immediately and prevented the arsonists from causing damage to the structure.

Unfortunately, two of the station’s working vehicles were affected. No one was killed.

In the meantime, the station has been roped off and the area is still undergoing Operation. Please communicate any more information. ” Tochukwu said
