Senator Abdullahi Adamu, national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has stated that the party may punish Bola Tinubu for his remark “against” President Muhammadu Buhari.
Tinubu told delegates of the ruling party on Wednesday in Abeokuta, the capital of Ogun State, that without him, Buhari would not have become president.
He added that after three election losses, Buhari sobbed and vowed he would not run again, but Tinubu travelled to Katsina and persuaded Buhari to run again, predicting that he would win since he was on the president’s side.
The remark elicited scathing responses around the nation, with many accusing Tinubu of comparing himself to God.
Saturday at the APC headquarters in Abuja, Adamu told reporters, “We may punish him (Tinubu) for his remarks against the President.”
