Russia used long-range high-precision missiles to strike and cripple Ukraine’s Starokostiantyniv military air station, the Russian defence ministry claimed on Sunday.
“Russian armed forces continue to assault Ukraine’s military facilities,” said Igor Konashenkov, a spokesperson for the Russian defence ministry.
“Strikes were carried out by high-precision long-range weaponry in the morning of March 6. The Ukrainian air force base in the vicinity of Starokostiantyniv has been shut down.”
He also claimed that Russian rocket troops had destroyed a Ukrainian-controlled S-300 missile system. He said that Russia had shot down ten Ukrainian planes and helicopters in the previous 24 hours.
