Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy recently made a direct request to US President Joe Biden for the US to classify Russia as a “state supporter of terrorism.”

During the call, Biden did not commit to any specific activities, according to the publication.

According to the publication, the label can be assigned to any country that has “repeatedly supplied assistance for acts of international terrorism,” citing a State Department fact page. Currently, four nations are on the list: North Korea, Cuba, Iran, and Syria.
