Manchester United have finally signed winger Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund after securing a deal to sign him.
Sancho has finally been signed, and Stats Perform understands United will pay £72.9million (€85m) for him, with no add-ons included.
In United’s history, the 21-year-old is the fourth most expensive signing behind Paul Pogba, Harry Maguire, and Romelu Lukaku.
His contract extends to 2026, with United having the option to add an additional year.
United were interested in Sancho last year, but failed to close the deal because Dortmund were reluctant to part with one of their prize assets.
It appears they have now parted ways with a player who gave them a win over RB Leipzig in the DFB-Pokal final last season.
While at Dortmund, Sancho developed a close relationship with Erling Haaland, and now he comes to a United side that still trails Manchester City in the division.
After losing on penalties in the Euro 2020 final with Luke Shaw, Harry Maguire and Marcus Rashford, he will strive to build a similar rapport with his Manchester United teammates.
