In a series of text conversations, Virginia Thomas, the wife of conservative Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, urged former Trump White House top of staff Mark Meadows to attempt to overturn the election results in 2020, according to the Washington Post and CBS News.

The texts, which were received in the weeks following Donald Trump’s election on Nov. 3, show that Thomas instructed Meadows to “create a strategy” and “release the Kraken” in order to keep Trump in power, according to the Washington Post and CBS News.

Virginia Thomas, a conservative lawyer and activist, could not be reached for comment right away.

On Nov. 7, 2020, it was predicted that now-President Joe Biden would win the election.

“It appears that Sidney and her team are being bombarded with fraud proof. Make a strategy. Release the Kraken and save us from the left’s attempt to destroy America “According to the Post, she said this in one of 29 messages they exchanged.

Sidney Powell, who represented Trump’s campaign in its attempt to reverse the election outcome, has filed lawsuits in various states questioning counts that corroborate Trump’s baseless accusations of widespread election fraud. She had previously threatened to “unleash the Kraken” to expose the alleged fraud, a reference to the legendary Scandinavian sea monster.

According to the Washington Post and CBS, the messages were handed up to a congressional committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on the United States Capitol.

The reports could not be independently verified by Shauntv

The Jan. 6 committee’s spokeswoman declined to comment.

Meadows was unavailable for comment when Shauntv reached out to him at the Conservative Partnership Institute, where he currently serves as a partner and helps elect conservatives to office. Meadows’ lawyer did not respond to a request for comment.

According to the Post, the communications make no direct mention to Thomas’s spouse or the Supreme Court.

Powell alleged without evidence at a Nov. 19, 2020 news conference that electronic voting systems had moved millions of ballots to Biden, prompting Trump’s team to disassociate itself from her.

Justice Thomas was hospitalized to a Washington hospital about a week ago, and the news comes almost a week later. Thomas’ health status was not immediately known.
