An internet fraudster has been arrested in connection with the death of his twin brother at Oleh, the headquarters of Isoko South Local Government Area, Delta State.
According to reports, a dog and the decomposing body of the suspect’s twin brother were found in their apartment at Old Olomoro Road, Monday, May 24, after neighbors noticed an offensive smell emanating from the building.
They broke into the house that had been locked for days. The Yahoo boy was found sitting next to his brother’s decomposing body.
The reason for the killing could not be determined, but eyewitnesses speculated it may have been for ritual purposes.
As Vanguard reported: “The house was locked for some days, and after some time, people living in the compound noticed a foul odor that attracted flies to the apartment.”.
As a result, his neighbours alerted the police at the Oleh divisional headquarters. The door was forced open and a dog was found in the house with his twin brother who was decomposing.”
Police reportedly took the suspect and his dog into custody, while the deceased’s corpse was deposited at a mortuary in the area.
Mr Bright Edafe, the state police public relations officer, confirmed the incident on Wednesday, May 26.
The twin brother and his decomposing body were discovered when they broke into the house, but as of now, there is no evidence that the ritual was involved.
